Xuzhou Museum's Interpretation Service will be Marked

      In the afternoon of December 18, 2019, Xuzhou Museum carried out on-site assessment activities for on-the-job interpreters. The purpose of this assessment is to consolidate the basic skills of the commentators, improve their professional ability and service level, so as to further improve the quality of interpretation service of Xuzhou Museum.

      Liu Zhaojian is the head of the assessment team, which is composed of 7 judges. The judges rated 8 commentators in terms of proficiency, speed, timing, etiquette, spirit, flexibility and knowledge reserve.

       In the early stage of the assessment, the person in charge of the social service department formulated the details of the assessment process and strictly controlled and explained the assessment quality. Before on-site assessment, the commentator decides the assessment sequence according to the drawing of lots. The assessment is mainly composed of three parts: interpretation to teenagers,  interpretation to important guests and on-site knowledge question and answer. The assessment lasts for about three hours, and the site is orderly and active.

      After the explanation and assessment, each judge will comment in turn and point out the problems in the explanation process. Judging from the performance, everyone has made full preparation, and distinctive characteristics have been shown in the process.

      After the assessment, the head of the Department and the commentators had a discussion to exchange experience. Everyone has a clear understanding of their own shortcomings, and will continue to strengthen learning in the future work, develop strengths and avoid weaknesses, make full use of the rich collection resources of Xuzhou Museum, dig deep into the stories behind cultural relics, so that cultural relics can "live up" and "go out", and play a good role in serving the modern society and the public.

      In this assessment, comments and discussion, everyone said that they benefited a lot, and the assessment of commentators in 2019 was successfully completed. In 2020, the commentators of Xuzhou museum will go to work according to the star standard, and welcome the tourists with more full service enthusiasm and better service level!
