ocal time on February 17, the "Tomb Treasures: New Discoveries from China's Han Dynasty" exhibition opened at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, USA. After the success of Terracotta Warriors and Horses of the Qin Dynasty Exhibition in 2013, Asian Art Museum once again introduced cultural relics from China to show the brilliant achievements of ancient Chinese civilization. The 160 cultural relics on display, unearthed mainly from the Tombs of King Chu of Xuzhou and Han Tombs on Dayun Mountain of Xuyi, made their debut in the United States, including the jade-lacquered coffin and bronze bells.
      The exhibition used the three themes of "Happy Forever", "Live Forever" and "Remember Forever" to restore the living situation of the palace and the nobles of the Han Dynasty. They were shown in special exhibition rooms (Osher, Lee, Hambrecht) on the first floor of the Asian Art Museum.
      "Happy Forever " expresses aristocratic life and palace entertainment. Visitors can learn about the daily life, sacrifices, food and entertainment of the nobles of the Han Dynasty, and experience palace music and dance. The Osher mainly displays the luxurious life, advanced craftsmanship and exquisite decoration in the palace of the Han Dynasty. The audience can also use 3D and VR technology to listen to the music and experience the living environment at the time.

      "Live Forever " expresses the worship of jade and the pursuit of eternity. Visitors can experience the atmosphere of the mausoleum and explore the ancients' understanding of immortality. The exhibits in Hambrecht include three jade treasures: jade clothes sewn with gold wire and jade-lacquered coffin.

      "Remember Forever" expresses the private life in the palace. Visitors can glimpse the daily life of nobles. The exhibits in Lee include both burial objects and used utensils. By showing these delicate relics, including toiletries, mirrors, basins, incense burners, we hope that the visitors further explore the secrets of the Han Dynasty.
