Preface

      In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and adhere to the people-centered creative orientation--- walk into life, and be close to the people, a group of 20 calligraphers and painters from Xuzhou Academy of calligraphy and painting, together with a group of 20, carried out the activity of painting in Guizhou on March 15, 2018.

      On the way to sketching, calligraphers and painters visited Zunyi, the revolutionary holy land, Kaili, the town of Baijie, and Miao and Dong villages such as Xijiang, Rongjiang, Congjiang and Liping. In Zunyi, calligraphers and painters learned the spirit of the Long March, remembered the revolutionary martyrs, and improved their ideological awareness. In villages with rich regional and cultural characteristics, calligraphers and painters have experienced the beautiful natural environment and human customs of the local area, appreciated the vast and magnificent mountains and rivers of the motherland, experienced the artistic wisdom of the ethnic minorities, and gathered rich creative materials while drawing, communicating with ethnic minority compatriots.

      2018 Xuzhou Academy of painting and calligraphy sketch exhibition is a summary of the activities of Xuzhou Academy of painting and calligraphy in Guizhou. In the process of it, calligraphers and painters resort to the tip of the pen to record their artistic feelings with paper, pen and camera, display the beautiful rivers and mountains and simple folk customs of Guizhou with their own unique ink language, present the prosperous scene of healthy development of ethnic minority areas in the new era background, and express their love for the motherland.

      Through sketching, artists broaden their horizons, accumulate fresh creative materials and stimulate their creative enthusiasm. In the future art creation, the calligraphers and painters of Xuzhou Academy of painting and calligraphy will continue to go to mountains and rivers, take root in people's life, create more fine art works with the style of the times, further promote the art creation and research of Xuzhou, and promote the prosperity and development of the art cause of the whole province.
